Major Applications Using Redsim DIS Tools
Australian Department of Defence Project Sea-1412 : The integration of two legacy simulators at HMAS WATSON using DIS Protocol. The two prime contractors involved are Adacel Technologies for the Integrated Operations Tactical Trainer (an FFG class simulator) and Computer Science Corporation for the Combat System Tactical Trainer (an ANZAC class simulator). Redsim DIS tools were used by both contractors during the project implementation phase.
The two simulators were also used to participate with the US Navy in the 2001 I/ITSEC CreaMs demonstration organized by PMS 430. The Redsim DIS Tools were used extensively by WATSON during the initial connectivity testing with the US simulators.
The Australian Defence Acquisition Organization is currently evaluating the Redsim DIS Tools for use as the prime acceptance testing tools for future projects involving the DIS Protocol.
